Injection
Moulding
Welcome to the Injection Moulding
department. Here you can harness the considerable capabilities
of our 16 Arburg automatic machines to mould or insert
mould thermoplastic materials including glass-filled
and high temperature, up to a shot weight of 75 grams
from our own in-house tooling.

Stamping
In our Press Shop, equipped with
20 high-speed presses, we can stamp loose and reeled
products from materials such as steel, brass, phosphor,
bronze, beryllium copper to exact dimensions from our
in-house precision toolings. Our re-reelers enable bandoliered
and reeled contacts to be wound for subsequent electroplating
and automatic assembly.

Auto-Turning
Our extensively equipped Auto-Shop
comprises 70 machines, including Tornos, Traub, Esoomatic
CAM machines and a CNC small batch production capability
from 0.5mm to 20mm and up to 300mm in length. Precision
parts canbe machined from bass, copper, mild steel,
titanium, PTFE and nylon.

Electroplating
Eight reel-to-reel and barrel lines
apply a variety of finishes, including copper, nickel,
tin, tin/lead, silver and selective gold. Stringent
quality control processes include X-ray fluorescence,
atomic absorption, artificial ageing, solderability
testing and microsection facilities.

|
| |
|
|
Tooling
Design and manufacture of precision
press and mould tools takes place in-house. It encompasses
CAD/CAM, wire erosion and optical form grinding for
both carbide and tool steels for volume or small batch
runs. SPC and FMEA analysis ensures a quality product
is delivered on schedule.

Auto
Assembly
Machines designed and manufactured
by Harwin enable automatic product assembly for low-cost
volume production. Testing, marking and packaging can
be easily incorporated. Harwin's machines experise -
from bench assembly fixtures to complete automatic assembly
systems - delivers optimum assembly benefits and cost
control.

Packaging
Our investment in a Tape and Reel
facility offers our customers significant cost savings.
Pocketed tape is designed and manufactured to EIA standards
to suit the product profile. Stamped terminals are produced
in continuous chains and reeled. For components traditionally
supplied loose, Harwin can load onto a bandolier for
placement by the Harwin range of equipment.
